Description:

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

This position is responsible for properly receiving incoming inventory, timely staging and timely packing and shipping outgoing orders while adhering to safety procedures and providing accurate, timely shipments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pick, pack, and ship B2B and B2C orders (including international, small parcel, and LTL)
  • Process fulfillment in ERP system (Sage/NetSuite)
  • Ensure inventory and shipping areas are kept in an orderly fashion
  • Provide support for all Customer Service Representatives
  • Works accurately and diligently to reach set goals/metrics for the shift
  • Organize inventory at warehouse (day-to-day operations, cycle counts, end of year full manual inventory, etc.).
  • Receive raw materials, components, bulk, and finished goods into warehouse and in ERP system
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as packing lists or orders to verify accuracy
  • Collaborate with Quality Department for quarantined product
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with monitoring OOS inventory and evaluating backorders for B2B customers to retain shipping of B2C customers.
  • Day-to-day collaboration with team members in warehouse
  • Manage re-distribution, re-labelling, bundling, assembly, and other projects as requested.
  • Comply with cGMP’s and Standard Operating Procedures and related systems
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
  • Adhere to GMP guidelines regarding hygiene and cleanliness
  • Performs all functions necessary as required by management to complete the job
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate about work instructions and safety information written in English
  • Must have the ability to be a team player; problem solve and collaborate with other employees/departments
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Punctual and reliable work attendance
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making
  • Professional and reliable with strong organizational and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Moderate degree of physical activity and coordination required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Continuous standing and frequent walking
  • Continuous pushing/pulling/lifting/reaching
  • Work in moderately loud environment
  • Works near moving mechanical parts
  • Must wear PPE appropriate for the position: protective eyewear (when needed), non-slip footwear, hair net, beard net (if applicable), nitrile food-grade gloves
  • cGMP, SOP, Controlled Document and Safety Training
