Traffic Control - Field Coordinator

Location: Denver Metro Area

Vector is seeking a detail-oriented Field Coordinator to support our Traffic Control operations in the Denver Metro area. This role is primarily focused on back-office coordination, scheduling, and operational support for the Traffic Control General Foreman and crews. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, technical acumen, and a solid understanding of CDOT requirements. Business development experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily and weekly schedules for Traffic Control crews and equipment.
  • Support the Traffic Control General Foreman with operational planning and project tracking.
  • Manage Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and related documentation.
  • Communicate scheduling changes, updates, and requirements to crews and clients in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all required permits, certifications, and compliance documents are obtained and current.
  • Track and manage inventory of signs, cones, and other traffic control equipment.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Compile and submit accurate daily and weekly reports on project progress and resource allocation.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, client follow-up, and other business development tasks as directed.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of CDOT regulations and ensure compliance in all scheduling and planning activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in scheduling, coordination, or operations in the construction or traffic control industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
  • Working knowledge of CDOT standards, permits, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting traffic control or construction field operations.
  • Familiarity with Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and DOT compliance processes.
  • Business development or client relations experience.
