As a Senior Account Manager at Clix, youll be entrusted with leading complex client relationships, translating business needs into marketing outcomes, and helping shape the future of how we serve high-impact accounts.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and resourceful Senior Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of mid-to-high complexity accounts. Youll serve as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams, managing communication, performance alignment, and long-term strategy. This role demands a blend of commercial acumen, marketing fluency, and operational awareness. Youll be expected to drive satisfaction, retention, and growth, while protecting efficiency and account margin.

Bonus Qualifications: Strong preference for candidates with demonstrated experience in paid or organic search strategy, strategic account planning, and consultative upselling. Understanding of SEO and PPC service delivery is critical, especially in an agency setting.

Location: Remote-first, but must reside in the Greater St. Louis area for occasional in-person client meetings

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of mid-to-large client accounts across multiple industries.
  • Translate complex client goals into strategic roadmaps that align with Clixs service model, ensuring consistent execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead recurring strategy calls, performance reviews, and business planning sessions for your assigned accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion and proactively partner with business developers and strategists to validate and position upsell initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams (SEO, PPC, Creative, Web) to maintain alignment while allowing specialists to own execution.
  • Monitor account satisfaction through structured feedback (e.g., NPS) and intervene to address dissatisfaction before it becomes attrition.
  • Contribute to client margin protection by recommending delivery adjustments or resourcing shifts in alignment with value and scope.
  • Actively document and report account-level impact to foster visibility and cross-functional alignment.
  • Mentor junior account management roles where appropriate and contribute to internal playbooks, pod workflows, and process improvements.
  • Maintain pulse on digital marketing and AI trends to deliver informed guidance to clients and support innovation internally.
  • Other relevant responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 57 years in a senior account management or client strategy role within a digital agency or high-complexity service organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing client portfolios worth $500K+ in annual revenue or equivalent strategic scope.
  • Ability to speak confidently and accurately across SEO, PPC, paid social, and web delivery, particularly as it relates to business outcomes.
  • Strong experience navigating client organizations, handling sensitive conversations, and influencing decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities across multiple accounts, platforms, and stakeholders in a fully remote setting.
  • High EQ with strong written/verbal communication, negotiation, and issue resolution skills.
