About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel - Labor & Employment to join their dynamic Legal & Corporate Affairs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support on a wide range of labor and employment matters, both routine and complex. This includes serving as a point of contact for human resources, offering expert support on US labor and employment issues, and managing employment litigation. The role involves advising on day-to-day employment-related matters, staying abreast of legislative trends, conducting legal research, and representing the company at various administrative levels. The Senior Counsel will also be involved in proactive training, managing outside counsel, and ensuring legal compliance in line with corporate goals. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, a Juris Doctor, and be admitted to a state Bar with in-house admission in Arizona. A minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience is required, with a strong preference for those with a background in retail and experience in wage and hour class actions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of balancing business needs with legal compliance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-level legal counsel to senior business leaders. The role demands a professional with good business judgment, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. While not mandatory, prior in-house experience is a plus.
