Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Manufacturing Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more . As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.   • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter areas.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and/or unauthorized individuals, helping to deter potential threats within the location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors within the location.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
