The Hotel Food Server position serves meals to patrons in a food service establishment. **Responsibilities** + Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service. + Writes order on check or memorizes it. + Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars. + Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed. + Totals up bills and accepts payments, or refers patron to Cashier. + Brews coffee, preps and serves beverages. + Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course. + May assist others in basic food production or other food service activities. + May break down and clean service lines as well as clean a variety of other kitchen equipment. + Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. **Qualifications** + Some prior customer service experience or training. + Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
