The Product Owner is responsible for leading the product development process for our hearing aid fitting software. This includes prioritizing and managing the product backlog, collaborating with global stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of innovative solutions that improve hearing health outcomes. You’ll serve as the bridge between business goals and engineering execution, turning requirements into actionable user stories and aligning teams around clear priorities. Essential Functions include translating product roadmaps into clear actionable features, participating in daily Scrum ceremonies, leading refinement sessions, managing and grooming the product backlog, prioritizing features, creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, translating business priorities into technical requirements, conducting functional/operational analysis, defining systems of interest, writing and reviewing requirements, maintaining system documentation, participating in scope discussions, driving requirements elicitation, contributing to corporate procedures related to requirement management and system engineering, and defining best practices for system and requirements engineering. Competencies needed include ability to develop and document complex products and systems, knowledge of engineering and product development concepts, strategic and tactical thinking, cross-department communication, report creation and presentations, and stakeholder influence. Desired qualifications include a degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent, 5+ years of software engineering or product development experience, 3+ years in project delivery, experience in agile development (preferably SAFe), medical device experience preferred, and understanding of regulatory requirements in medical device or regulated industries.
