We are seeking a Part-Time Pet Store Sales Associate to become an integral part of our family-run team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services as well as caring for on-site adoptable rescue animals in a unique retail setting.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome and identify customer needs
• Explain products and services to customers as needed
• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
• Enter and process customer orders
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Provide fresh food, water and litter and care to the on-site rescue animals
• Have the ability to be flexible and switch tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Must be comfortable with Dogs and cats and have the ability to interact in a gentle, non-threatening way
• Ability to maintain a clean environment to present the store in a neat and organized way
• Ability to build rapport with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Cash handling experience
