Location & Hours:

• On-site in Washington, DC
• Monday through Friday (first shift)

Mail Clerk/Driver Responsibilities:

• Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail for delivery.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Load mail and packages into the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver mail to residential and business addresses along designated routes.
• Obtain signatures and confirm deliveries as required.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
• Communicate with the dispatch team regarding delivery status and route adjustments.
• Perform routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and operational standards.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Report any delivery issues or vehicle maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with the unloading and sorting of mail and packages at distribution centers.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and packages in transit.

Additional duties include:

• Accept incoming mail from remote delivery facility, couriers, or other sources and sort to the appropriate bin location.
• Use automated system for tracking accountable mail, locate addresses and appropriate personnel offices, official mail and pitch to the appropriate office bins.
• This position calls for a high attention to detail which allows for a 100% accuracy rating of inbound and outbound mail processing.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must be punctual and dependable, organized, detail oriented and have the ability to meet stringent deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Previous mail room experience is a must and previous experience with accountable mail and automated systems is preferred. Must be able to lift 50-70lbs.

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Experience as a driver/courier in a professional capacity
• Experience with mail processing or document management

Offer will be contingent upon completing a drug and background investigation.
