Overview:

Baldwin Communication Solutions LLC is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. This senior-level position involves designing, installing, programming, and maintaining advanced security solutions for commercial clients. Ideal candidates will bring deep industry experience, a strong understanding of modern integrated systems, and a track record of working independently or leading small teams in complex project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead installations and configurations of complex low voltage systems, including:
  • Access control
  • IP and cloud-based CCTV systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Burglar/intrusion alarm systems
• Program and integrate systems with network infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Conduct advanced system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in on-site training when needed.
• Work closely with project managers and clients to plan and deliver solutions tailored to specific operational needs.
• Read and interpret complex electrical and system diagrams.
• Ensure all installations comply with NEC, NFPA, and local codes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, system configurations, and service records.
• Manage tools, materials, and inventory for assigned projects.

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial low voltage/security systems.
• Proven experience with:
  • IP/networking fundamentals (static IPs, port forwarding, switch configuration)
  • System integration and advanced programming
  • Structured cabling and conduit installation
• Deep familiarity with access control platforms, camera systems, and alarm systems.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and solve problems in the field.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and in confined or elevated spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Experience reading blueprints.
