Our HHA/CNA will be responsible for keeping the patient’s environment clean and safe. It will Provide companionship to the patient and assist with care of children and will Provide escort services such as taking the patient to the doctor.

Home Health Aide, enables patients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording patient condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families. Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise. Assists patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming. Helps patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene. Helps family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient as well as advises on nutrition and cleanliness. Records patient information by making entries in the patient journal and notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and procedures while maintaining security precautions. Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Current State License as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide certificate completion of 75 hours
• CPR certification
• CEUs (OSHA, HIV/AIDS, HIPAA, Alzheimer's, and Domestic Violence Certificate)
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and, therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits.
• Excellent customer service
• Strong clinical background
• Strong sense of engagement to be a team player
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
• Ability to type 25-30 words per minutes accurately

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$37,440 - $43,800 per year
