Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour with top of base scale at $67.11/hour: Seniority-based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.

Outstanding training: You will begin with 6.5 weeks of training in Houston, TX, learning United safety and customer service standards. Following successful completion, you will be welcomed as a full-time employee and assigned to one of our seven hubs. United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

  • 21 years of age or older at time of application
  • High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred
  • At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry
  • Must be able to speak clearly and be heard in emergencies.
  • Fluent in English; must also read and speak Italian fluently.
  • Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
  • Professional appearance and willingness to follow grooming standards.
  • Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
  • Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and pushing/pulling carts.
  • Expectation to serve and sell food and beverages professionally.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

  • Must demonstrate an evacuation drill in water during training.
  • Must complete pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
  • Must pass a 10-year background check.
