Position Summary:

As an essential part of our talent acquisition process, the recruiter will support high-volume hiring needs by sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various roles within the construction field, including laborers, tradespeople, project managers, and skilled technicians. Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Sourcing:Utilize job boards, social media platforms, recruitment databases, and networking events to proactively source and identify top talent for high-demand construction roles.
  • Screening & Interviewing:Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and assess candidate qualifications based on job requirements. Schedule and conduct initial interviews to determine fit for open positions.
  • Job Advertising:Write and post job advertisements for open positions on a variety of platforms, ensuring job descriptions are clear, accurate, and compelling.
  • Candidate Pipeline Management:Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates by keeping in touch with potential hires and maintaining relationships for future job openings.
  • Data Management & Reporting:Track candidate activity and recruitment progress in Bamboo (ATS). Provide weekly reports to recruitment team leads on open positions, candidate status, and other key metrics.
  • Administrative Support:Provide general administrative support to the recruitment team, including maintaining candidate records, updating spreadsheets, and scheduling interviews.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is a plus but not required.
  • Experience:
    • No prior recruitment experience required, but prior exposure to customer service, staffing, or administrative roles is a plus.
    • Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage candidates effectively.
    • Ability to efficiently review a high volume of applicants and quickly assess the candidates suitability for the role.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle a high volume of candidates and positions.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Bamboo (ATS) is a plus.
  • Personal Characteristics:
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
    • Team player with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
    • Bilingual/Spanish speaking desired.
