Description

Monroe Capital is seeking an investment Business Development professional to help support and promote the firm’s Private Credit offerings into the Wealth Management Channel. The individual will develop and maintain relationships within the independent RIA, and family offices community. This role will also work within the overall Marketing and Investor Relations program at Monroe Capital which will entail special projects and additional requirements as assigned.

This role requires a significant amount of travel.

This role is remote based in the West Coast/ South West Region,

Requirements

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Financial Advisors, educate them on Monroe private credit offerings, capture sales opportunities and/or increase market share of their client allocations.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, group presentations and conference calls. Deliver high-quality product knowledge and develop strong rapport with investors to drive results.
  • Attend industry events and conferences as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of Monroe’s various platform and offerings.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry/market trends.
  • Utilize management reporting tools to capture sales and client activity.
Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of external Business Development experience in the advisor-sold space. with extensive connectivity in the independent wealth management channel, such as RIAs and Independent Broker-Dealers platforms.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising within the Wealth Management Channel.
  • Established relationships within the various wealth management channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Business-related degree (preferred).
  • Series 7 and 63

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong desire to succeed and be entrepreneurial.
  • Well-organized self-starter with high energy, creativity and thoughtfulness
  • Strong time management skills and high level of responsiveness
  • The ability to work within a team.
  • Experience in the alternative asset management such as private credit, private equity or hedge funds.
  • CFA or CAIA preferred.

Compensation: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $225,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
